Things to do in Peru

Peru is a destination with a diverse range of travel options, and it is beautified with a very mesmerizing history, culture, beauty, and adventure. Explore the wonders of the Nazca lines, stroll through the Sacred Valley’s prehistoric ruins, or take a stroll through Lima’s streets to get a sense of contemporary Peru.

Machu Picchu
Machu Picchu, one of the New Seven Wonders of the World and Peru's top tourist attraction, lives up to the hype as a mysterious and breathtaking archaeological site from the 15th century. The sacred energy continues to emanate from the temples, private chambers, and ceremonial platforms at Machu Picchu. As stunning as the ruins themselves is the spectacular backdrop of high and luxurious covered mountains. The journey, whether it be by train or the Inca Trail, is an integral part of the experience of visiting Machu Picchu. It's impossible to avoid being inspired by the surroundings in either situation.
Lake Titicaca
Lake Titicaca's sparkling blue lake is encircled by hills and traditional tiny communities. The lake stands out from rest of the region, due to its combination of stunning beauty and unique culture. The most famous way to observe the lake is to ride a boat to the nearby villages and islands. Since the Inca era, these are artificial islands and have supported the lifestyle of locals. The floating islands make up a very little portion of Lake Titicaca's overall appeal; the real allure is basically in the quaint towns tucked away in the hillsides that line the lake's shoreline and on its two main islands.
Lima
Lima sprawls out over the Peruvian coastal plain in a patchwork of the new and the old, butting up to the Pacific rollers in rows of condominiums and lurching high-rises. It is a spot where magnificent colonial antiquities coexist with ancient ruins; 500-year-old artifacts are scattered around the museum spaces near crowded food courts brimming with mouthwatering South American ceviche and Pisco sours that will blow your socks off. Of course, there is a vibrant nightlife scene befitting its 10 million inhabitants, bursting every night of the week between the streets of Miraflores and Barranco.
Arequipa
At almost 2,300 meters, Arequipa is frequently referred to be Peru's most stunning city. The city core is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is surrounded by snow-capped mountains. Old buildings in Arequipa made of sillar stone, a volcanic rock that glows brightly in the sunlight, are the city's main source of fame. The majority of the colonial structures in the old city center are constructed from this stone, earning it the moniker "white city." Arequipa is frequently used as a pit break for travelers headed to the Colca Canyon.
