Day-to-day itinerary
On arrival in Victoria Falls you will be met and transferred to your accommodation for the next few
nights.
A’Zambezi River Lodge is nestled on the banks of the mighty Zambezi River on the periphery of the
Zambezi National Park, in a spot with the tranquility and seclusion most travellers seek.
A sunset cruise is the perfect way to end off the day and kick off your Victoria Falls adventure. Relax
on one of the Riversong boat’s sofas as the sun sets, but keep an eye on the water for sightings of
hippo, elephant and crocodiles. Enjoy an abundance of delicious hors d’oeuvres throughout the
cruise, as well as selection of cocktails, premium drinks, beers, juice, water and soft drinks.
Your day starts with a guided tour of the Falls.
Victoria Falls is one of the most compelling sites in the world, this cascading column of sheer
energy powers its way down a 100m chasm, taking your breath away, as you gaze in awe
mesmerised by its strength and incredible beauty. As you captivate this famous wonder you will be
completely enthralled to see and feel “The Smoke that Thunders.”
The Tour Guides will ensure that the best photographic opportunities are indicated, whilst
mesmerising you with historical and current information, as well as details on the flora, fauna, bird
& wildlife and other related issues on this World Heritage Site. Raincoats are provided when needed.
After your tour you have a number of different exciting activities to choose from:
– A bungee jump, bridge swing or bridge slide/zipline
– An awesome scenic helicopter flight over the Falls for an aerial view
– A thrilling jetboat adventure through the Batoka Gorge and to see the Falls from below
– White Water Rafting in the Batoka Gorge
– A Canoe safari on the Zambezi River
– A bike tour of the town
– A traditional Village Tour
– A walking safari or a Batoka Gorge hike
– Visit the Zambia side of the Falls and swim in devil’s Pool at certain times of the year!
If you prefer a more sedate afternoon, you can relax at your hotel pool overlooking the Zambezi
River, or wander through the vibrant town of Victoria Falls and shop for curios at the market
Breakfast
This day trip is divided into two parts: in the morning you have a game viewing boat cruise on the
Chobe River, and in the afternoon we embark on a game drive through the National Park. Each
activity is 3 hours and in-between you’ll enjoy a buffet lunch at a local hotel. Enjoy exceptional
sightings of elephants, buffalo, hippos, crocodiles, lions, leopards, and ~460 bird species.
The Chobe River is one of the only rivers in the world that flows in two directions. In the dry season
the river flows East, but in the rainy season, the Zambezi River pushes upstream to reverse the flow
of the river towards the West.
Today you will be transferred back to Victoria Falls International Airport for your departure flight.
